Traversing the Ballard bridge at sunset is the perfect end to any day. Getting stuck there for a minute with the bridge up is hardly an inconvenience.

From the album I linked y’all to a couple days ago. I got to see these kids perform their end-of-year concert at the Woodland Park Zoo, and it was amazing. Their music teacher plays in the Maldives, and the program she put together was awesome. All of the instruments except the piano and guitar accompaniments are played by the kids as well.
All The Sound Of Life” features the Perkins School Children’s Choir performing a variety of songs by some of Seattle’s most popular indie rock bands, including Long Winters, Damien Jurado, Grand Hallway, The Maldives, Arthur&Yu, and Pedro the Lion. It was recorded at the historic Columbia City Theater by Grammy-winning engineer Kory Kruckenberg.

I’m heading down your way this weekend to see Yeasayer play the Wonder Ballroom Friday night. SOMEHOW, the show has yet to sell out (they wear plaid and have beards, what gives?), and I have two extra tickets. Ergo, they’re all yours if you want ‘em. Gratis. E-mail my u/n @ gmail if you’re interested.
